Comprehensive Social Work Service

This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive social work assessment and intervention as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their skills in this rewarding field.

As a social worker, you will be responsible for working with patients/clients of the Northern NSW Local Health District. You will assess and intervene in cases where there are social determinants impacting health outcomes. Your input will be invaluable in helping patients achieve better health.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' social situations
  • Developing and implementing interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment plans

This vacancy is maternity leave relief for up to 30 weeks, with up to 32 hours per week. The hours and period may change according to maternity leave requirements. There is also the possibility of an extension at the same or reduced hours.
