Job Opportunity in Transport Engineering

This is a full-time, fixed-term academic position within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UNSW.

The successful candidate will cover work of academics with ARC fellowship appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake high-quality teaching and research in transport engineering with a focus on emerging technologies such as predictive modelling, real-time traffic analytics, and autonomous vehicle integration.
  • Contribute to delivering a strong teaching program and to the research environment at UNSW supporting innovation in sustainable mobility and smart infrastructure.
  • Engage with students and collaborate with colleagues to advance the School's teaching and research goals.
  • Report to the Head of School.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • A PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
  • Commitment to staying up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
  • Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and engagement with curriculum design at various levels.

Benefits and Perks:

  • Level B Salary range: $127,947 to $150,830 per annum + 17% superannuation.
  • Full-time position with a fixed-term contract – 4 years.
