Job Title: Student Welfare Leader

Description: Tamworth High School is a proudly inclusive and culturally rich secondary school, dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive and engaging environment for every student. With around 684 enrolments—44% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander—the school promotes equity, resilience and opportunity across urban and rural communities.

Key Responsibilities: As our Student Welfare Leader, you will lead systemic approaches to student engagement, attendance, trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour supports. You will advance whole-school wellbeing with emphasis on student voice, cross-curricular wellbeing initiatives and authentic community partnerships. Additionally, you will drive attendance, student voice and mental health strategies; strengthen a culture of care and connectedness.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have an unconditional full approval to teach, satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements, and include WWCC clearance number as part of the application.
