Job Description

The Role:

As a Lead Sustainability Consultant, you will be part of our Australian Sustainability team, which consists of over 60 consultants from diverse backgrounds, including engineers, architects, renewable energy specialists, environmental scientists, and economists.

You will work across all sectors, including infrastructure, buildings, rail, and stations, roads, precincts, renewable energy projects, water sector projects, and more.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing oversight and guidance of deliverables for medium and large-scale projects;
  • Guiding and managing our QLD Team to achieve high-performance outcomes for our people, projects, and clients;
  • Contributing to project planning, budgeting, and controls;
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients;
  • Establishing and maintaining Greencap's leadership position in the QLD Sustainability Sector;
  • Applying deep understanding of sustainability principles to solve complex problems; and
  • Producing designs and reports to meet client requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent sustainability-related discipline;
  • 10-12 years of experience as a Sustainability Consultant or similar role, preferably in the infrastructure sector;
  • Experience with best practice standards relating to decarbonization (such as PAS2080, IS Ratings, and other bespoke tools and frameworks);
  • Ability to use theoretical knowledge and experience to analyze, interpret, and conclude project requirements and challenges;
  • Passion for developing solutions for a low-carbon, sustainable built environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver client meetings and workshops.

Salary

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading company in the field of sustainability consulting. We offer a competitive salary of $150,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
