Baker Job Description

This role involves working as a Trade Qualified Baker in our bakery department. As a baker, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake bread, pastries, and other sweet and savory items using traditional methods and recipes
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to Coles' high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new product lines and promotions
  • Work collaboratively with the bakery team to ensure efficient production and delivery of baked goods

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade certification or diploma in baking from a reputable institution
  • Extensive experience working in fast-paced bakery environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
