The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Power Developer to contribute to the development and execution of our renewable energy and battery storage growth strategy. As a key member of our team, you'll support Development Project Managers in taking our pipeline of projects through to the start of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute our renewable energy and battery storage growth strategy
- Support Development Project Managers in project development and execution
- Assist with contract negotiations for construction and transmission connection
- Identify, report, and manage key risks associated with projects
- Develop and execute project implementation plans to deliver project outcomes within approved budgets and schedules
- Assist in developing and executing commercial and contractual relationships with contractors
- Coordinate internal and external resources to obtain permits and licenses for power projects
- Assist in community consultation activities for development projects
- Ensure Health, Safety, and Environment systems and goals are introduced and adhered to
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in business and technical fields such as finance, commerce, and engineering
- Strong technical and commercial skills
- Experience in the energy industry, preferably in renewable energy and/or project development
- Understanding and appreciation of renewable energy and project development requirements
- Project, regulatory, and risk management skills
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
