About the Role

The Senior Cloud Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the cloud strategy for GFG Alliance, ensuring seamless integration of infrastructure and services. You will collaborate with the Security Operation Centre to safeguard InfraBuild assets against cyber threats and oversee the daily operations of cloud technologies, including private clouds and on-premise server environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable cloud architectures to meet business demands
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of services
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Centre to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Configure and maintain IT infrastructure systems to protect company data and information
  • Participate in IT infrastructure projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and expansions, to ensure smooth implementations
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and server operating environments
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of IT infrastructure, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure regular maintenance of infrastructure to minimize unplanned outages
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in information technology or a related field (or relevant experience)
  • Cloud certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate and AWS SysOps Administrator
  • Experience in cloud and IT infrastructure management in a large organization
  • A solid understanding of public cloud platforms, with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Technologies
  • Experience with physical and virtual operating environments, such as VMware
  • Strong skills in automating routine tasks using PowerShell
  • A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus and experience working in operations
  • Proven problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including:

  • Generous parental leave: 20 weeks paid Primary Carer Leave and 3 weeks paid Partner Leave for those who have worked at the business for at least 12 months
  • Access to long service leave after 5 years: Employees who are not covered by an Enterprise Agreement can access accrued Long Service Leave (LSL) at the rate of 1.3 weeks per year of service after 5 years continuous service
