Job Title: Maintenance Fabricator

The Maintenance Fabricator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dairy products manufacturing facility.

We manufacture a range of dairy products, including skimmed and full cream milk powders, buttermilk powders, milk protein concentrate, lactoferrin powder, retail milk powders, anhydrous milk fat, liquid cream, and butter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Problem Identification & Resolution: Identify and address plant issues to improve equipment reliability and working conditions through scheduled maintenance and team meetings.
  • Efficient Changeovers: Perform timely equipment changeovers to reduce production downtime and enable preventative maintenance.
  • Inventory Management: Understand inventory procedures to support maintenance tasks.
  • Team Engagement: Participate in workgroup and workshop meetings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Daily Equipment Checks: Assist with routine service checks on boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
Requirements:
  • Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding), or equivalent
  • Proven experience in dairy & food manufacturing settings
  • Desirable: Experience using CMMS or good computer skills and learning agility
  • Good understanding of hydraulic systems and pneumatic principles
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&ID's
