About the Role at AQUILA

AQUILA is a leading company in AU, and we're looking for a talented Mechatronics Engineering Intern to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for developing innovative test systems and tools to validate our subsystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our engineering team to design and implement test equipment.
  • Drive an entire project end-to-end, from conceptualisation to testing.
  • Work across multiple disciplines—mechanical, electronics, and software—to tackle diverse engineering challenges.
  • Assist in developing test infrastructure to accelerate our R&D efforts.

Requirements:

  • Solid fundamentals and a strong ability to quickly learn new skills.
  • Experience with C/C++ in embedded environments and high-level programming languages like Python, Go, or Rust.
  • Familiarity with CAD (Onshape is a plus), PCB design, and mechanical design for actuated systems.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping techniques like 3D printing and laser cutting.
