SAGE Automation, a leading provider of industrial automation and control services, is seeking an experienced Industrial Control Systems Specialist to join their team in NSW.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in the management and integration of computing infrastructure within typical manufacturing and industrial control systems, including software, hardware, and associated networks. They will be responsible for specifying, designing, and delivering IT and OT systems that support or are integral to the successful implementation of industrial control systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing safety plans and applying a safety-first approach to every aspect of project delivery;
  • Designing and delivering IT and OT networking and security technical solutions that meet project requirements and scope;
  • Identifying and mitigating technical risk, escalating high-risk items to management;
  • Managing and resolving project issues promptly; and
  • Tracking tasks to complete projects within budget and time constraints.

Essential capabilities and experience include:

  • 'Hands-on' experience with design, build, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrade, and testing of OT systems;
  • Experience with OT systems or similar, including industrial networks, Cisco, Hirschmann, Stratix, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, IoT, Surveillance Systems, Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV), Digital Video Management Systems (DVMS), Genetec, Axis, Bosch, Virtualisation and Infrastructure, VMware, SAN, Servers, SQL, Windows, Linux, Microsoft Infrastructure, AD, DC, WSUS, Network, Microsoft, and/or VMWare qualifications highly desirable;
  • Industry experience in roads/tunnels, rail, metro, or similar desirable but not necessary; and
  • Experience with Transport systems desirable but not necessary, including OMCS, PMCS, and TMCS.

The ideal candidate will have relevant diploma or degree qualifications or verifiable industry experience in the application of IT and/or OT technologies, experience with desktop and server operating systems, demonstrable knowledge of good software development practices and principles, and understanding of IT and OT security requirements.

The salary for this position is estimated at AU$120,000 per annum, plus benefits, offering competitive remuneration, opportunities for career development in a dynamic environment, and the chance to work on a wide range of industries and project sizes.
