**Paediatric Palliative Care Social Worker Opportunity**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate social worker to join our paediatric palliative care team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children, families, and healthcare professionals to provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and care planning.

The successful candidate will have experience working in paediatric palliative care, possessing strong clinical social work skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychosocial support and assessment to children and families through one-on-one sessions and group work
  • Attend weekly Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings to discuss patient care and develop individualized plans
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including other healthcare providers and community organizations
  • Advocate for children and families, promoting their needs and rights within the healthcare system

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in paediatric palliative care, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in this field
  • Eligibility to drive and willingness to travel for work purposes
