About the Role:

  • As a Cabinet Maker Apprentice, you will be responsible for building high-end, custom timber bathroom furniture from start to finish.
  • You will work with American Oak, constructing furniture from CAD drawings and assembling a wide range of bathroom furniture, including vanities, shaving cabinets, mirrors, and other custom items.
  • Our team is committed to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for excellence.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced cabinet makers and receive on-site TAFE learning through our apprenticeship program.
  • All tools required for the job will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building high-end, custom timber bathroom furniture from start to finish.
  • Working with American Oak.
  • Constructing furniture from CAD drawings.
  • Assembling a wide range of bathroom furniture, including vanities, shaving cabinets, mirrors, and other custom items.
  • Maintaining high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Collaborating with our team to ensure continuous improvement and achieve team goals.
  • Working efficiently to meet production timelines.

Apprenticeship Training:

  • Comprehensive training in building fine timber furniture.
  • Experience working with American Oak.
  • Learning to construct furniture using CAD drawings.
  • Assisting in the production of a variety of bathroom furniture, including vanities, shaving cabinets, mirrors, and other items.
  • Ensuring quality control throughout the process.
  • On-site TAFE learning to support your practical skills.
  • Contributing to a collaborative team environment aimed at continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Initiative and enthusiasm for the craft.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Interest in high-end furniture or cabinet making.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Previous work experience, with a good attendance record and positive references.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
  • Organised and systematic approach to tasks.
  • Excellent manual handling skills with a focus on safety.
  • Mature-aged apprentices are encouraged to apply.
