Assistant Research Curator Job OpportunityJob Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Research Curator to join our team. As an Assistant Research Curator, you will play a key role in creating engaging and insightful content that deepens public understanding of our valuable collections and supports curatorial projects and initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of software applications, including Microsoft Suite, records databases, and collections management systems. You will have the chance to collaborate with other experts in the field and contribute to the interpretation, documentation, promotion, and development of our collections.

If you have a passion for history, museums, and cultural heritage, and if you have experience working in a cultural, museum, or heritage environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in history, museums studies, heritage interpretation, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a cultural, museum, or heritage environment.
  • Familiarity with current research methodologies and approaches.
  • Experience working with software applications used to maintain and update information.
Benefits

This is a full-time temporary employment opportunity for a period up to 18 months. The successful candidate will work across Sydney and will be required to travel to multiple locations. We offer a competitive remuneration package, including salary, employer's contribution to superannuation, and annual leave loading.
