Job Summary:

Technical Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead to spearhead our Operations Engineering team.

This is a highly specialized role that requires a deep understanding of communication solutions and technical leadership skills to drive mission-critical projects forward.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in LAN/WAN switching and routing, APCO P25 radio systems, mobile data systems, as well as Windows and Linux-based operating systems administration.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to the operations engineering team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement operational strategies and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of continual improvement and professional development among team members.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for Network Operations Control Centre (NOCC) staff and Field Engineers requiring technical assistance.
  • Maintain and enhance the accuracy and completeness of technical, procedural, and as-built documentation.
  • Participate in service review meetings to provide technical insights and recommendations on the performance and quality of services provided.
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to address urgent system incidents escalated after-hours.

Requirements:

  1. Proven track record of technical leadership in a similar field.
  2. Expertise in LAN/WAN switching and routing, APCO P25 radio systems, mobile data systems, as well as Windows and Linux-based operating systems administration.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
