As a Senior Geotechnical Expert at SLR, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, including mining and resources, infrastructure, and built environment.

About the Role

  • Working on a wide range of projects which will include mining and resources, dams, roads, rail, civil, and industrial.
  • Building on our already strong business relationship with your existing clients and identifying/developing new opportunities within this network.
  • Working within a well-respected team (locally and nationally) and contributing to the culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Providing technical oversight, review, and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Undertaking geotechnical analyses both on stand-alone projects and as part of larger multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Undertaking engineering judgement, interpretation, and analysis of data to develop and implement best practice to provide practical and commercial solutions.
About You

We are looking for an experienced consultant with a broad skillset who enjoys tackling new projects. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Exposure to projects across multiple sectors, including mining and resources, infrastructure, and built environment.
  • 10+ years' consulting experience with tertiary qualifications in engineering or geology.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills and demonstrated experience delivering on time and on budget.
  • Proven Business Development ability shown from winning new work and building long term relationships with clients.
  • Developed project management skills.
  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills and excellent technical ability.
  • Enjoy passing on your knowledge and mentoring younger staff.
