Job Summary

As an Electronics Engineer - Aviation with the Australian Defence Force, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of advanced technology and sophisticated electronic systems in our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of skilled technicians to service, maintain, and sustain airborne electronic systems.
  • Lead the configuration and modification of Air Force equipment for daily missions.
  • Collaborate with the defence industry to upgrade and sustain the effectiveness of our Air Force equipment.
  • Apply project and engineering management skills to acquire new capability and meet Australia's evolving needs.
  • Influence aviation safety by investigating technical incidents and managing workforce standards.

Training and Career Progression

You will receive comprehensive training and development opportunities, including a Professional Development and Training (PD&T) year and Initial Employment Training. You will also have the chance to gain nationally recognised qualifications and experience, such as becoming a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in the Leadership and Management College of Engineers Australia (EA).
