Global Operations Manager

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Sydney-based Outbound Processing team, whose ultimate aim is to ensure timely and effective delivery of domestic and international payments for our Global Corpay Cross Border business.

This role involves working alongside the APAC Manager and Global Operations in building an efficient scalable payments and deals processing operation. The team aims to provide high-quality service delivery within set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and meet local routing requirements and regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities include ensuring payments reach global clients and beneficiaries in a timely manner with the highest degree of data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Validating payment data and obtaining all relevant information required to complete transactions successfully.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on international and domestic payments schemes and systems.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Participating in the settlement process of spot and forward orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Handling 2nd level escalations professionally and promptly.
  • Driving team performance to deliver results within payment cutoffs and expected SLAs.
  • Delivering results through effective team management structure routine coaching and feedback.
  • Maintaining accountability in managing a team of employees and implementing effective performance management practices.
  • Supporting management in audit requests refining procedures and defining SLAs.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with existing banking partners.
  • Championing data-driven decision-making and removing obstacles to optimize operations.
  • Leading and encouraging the identification escalation and resolution of potential risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Degree/Diploma in Business Finance Economics or related field.
  • 3+ years of previous experience in an administrative and team lead-related capacity.
  • Experience in the financial/banking industry with exposure to global payment formatting requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word Excel PowerPoint Visio and Outlook.
  • IT literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Ability to multi-task prioritize and work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
