Job Title: Aero Controls TFA Perth Australia Technical Manager
About the Job:
This is an exciting opportunity to join FieldCore as a Technical Manager for our Aero Controls team in Perth, Australia. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing controls activities on site during the Installation and Commissioning and Maintenance of heavy-duty turbines/equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Controls Activities: Oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics of control systems, including but not limited to, Mark VI, Mark VIE, and Mark V controls systems.
- Resource Management: Plan, organize, integrate, and direct resources such as labor, tools, and materials to complete work scope according to contractual requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Use PLC ladder logic and electrical/mechanical flow diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose control system issues.
- Expertise and Consultation: Provide technical expertise to customers, service support, field technicians, and operators on complex projects and OEM packaged products.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide timely and accurate internal and external reports, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 7 years of experience without formal degree in power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or power plant equipment installation/commissioning.
- Training and Certifications: Successful completion of TFA III training programs is a minimum requirement.
- Progressive Experience: Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of equipment and site accountabilities is required.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experienced Level: Experienced level with knowledge and skill to oversee outage management within a competency and may possess expertise in a secondary competency.
- Gas Turbine Driver Control Systems: Experience with Gas Turbine Driver Control Systems and Auxiliary Systems.
- Mark VI, Mark VIE, Mark V Controls Systems: Experience on Mark VI, Mark VIE, Mark V controls systems is preferable.
- Ability to Implement Controls Software: Ability to understand and implement controls software.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Analytic, Organizational, and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently.
