At St Felix Catholic Primary School, we are seeking a Family Educator to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in partnership with various stakeholders, including the principal, parents, parish staff, and Religious Education Coordinator, to deliver a range of opportunities that connect and engage families with the religious life of the school and parish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance family engagement and participation in the school community.
  • Foster relationships with parents and carers to promote a sense of belonging and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and deliver educational programs that support the spiritual growth and development of students.
  • Organise and facilitate events, workshops, and activities that promote family cohesion and well-being.
  • Provide guidance and support to parents and carers on matters related to student learning and spiritual development.

Requirements

  • A strong commitment to the practice of the Catholic Faith and an ability to articulate an understanding of the evangelising and catechising mission of the Catholic Church.
  • Experience in parish or pastoral ministry, preferably in Sacramental programs, family/children's liturgy, or baptismal groups.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with parents, carers, and school staff.
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strategic outlook, with the ability to understand the school within the broader educational, ecclesial, and communal context.
