We're currently seeking a highly skilled Back End Developer Senior to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing microservices, applications, and APIs that meet the needs of our end-users.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in developing cloud-native microservices, applications, and APIs using technologies such as C# / .NET Core, containerised workloads (e.g. Docker), in-memory databases (e.g. Redis), message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ) and related technologies. You will also be comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments, with utilising both on-prem and public cloud infrastructure, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement microservices, applications, and APIs that meet the needs of our end-users
* Collaborate with other back-end developers and architects to identify and evaluate technology and process improvements to improve quality and commercial outcomes
* Actively lead and engage in contemporary software engineering practices, including use of coding guidelines, peer code reviews, test automation, knowledge sharing and team development, and by being a vocal supporter of scrum
* Document, present and communicate findings and actions so they become reliably repeatable, automating them wherever possible
* Inspire the continuous improvement of people, processes and technology, including mentoring and coaching junior team members, as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Tertiary-level qualification in Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science
* Extensive experience in developing cloud-native microservices, applications, and APIs
* Proficiency in developing scalable, highly available software services
* Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies
* Competent with source code control and CI/CD pipeline technologies
