About the Role

We are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to join our team at EACH Victoria. As a Support and Engagement Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in uplifting residents and proprietors through innovative capacity-building techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with residents to identify unmet health and social needs and connect them with necessary services and supports.
  • Encourage greater resident engagement in various activities, both within their Supported Residential Services (SRS) and in the broader community.
  • Support proprietors and SRS staff in honing their skills and capacities to better understand resident needs, improve support planning, and effectively manage challenging behaviors.
  • Partner with health and community support services to enhance accessibility for SRS residents and improve responsiveness to proprietors and staff.

You will be part of a team that uses innovative capacity-building strategies to make a meaningful impact in the health and social needs of residents. Our team has an engaging, inclusive, and supportive environment with positive culture, supportive and like-minded team and management.

About the Opportunity

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant health or human services discipline and/or demonstrated skills and experience in community engagement, assessment, and support planning in a Community Sector role.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Homelessness Sector.
  • A good understanding about NDIS and My Aged Care packages.
  • Working knowledge of local service systems and referral networks.
  • Desire to use advocacy as a way of improving the life/circumstances of our clients.
  • Current state-based driver's license.

$63,000 - $77,500 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus generous not-for-profit salary packaging of up to $15,900 free income tax per year.
