As a professional engineer in our International Government Global engineering team, you will provide networking and satellite communications solutions concepts, detailed solutions designs, systems integration, maintenance program development, and training solutions. These engineering activities support international government consultancy opportunities as well as commercial proposals, bids, or tender responses in support of sales teams within international government.

Role Overview
  • Develop solutions to meet specific international customer requirements using existing or newly developed hardware, product configurations, and/or services.
  • Collaborate with functional teams outside of international government to bring new hardware and services into operation.
  • Provide technical guidance, instruction, and mentoring of less-experienced engineering staff within the international government engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provision of timely and insightful technical input into tender response preparation.
  • Provision of satellite solutions designs and satellite systems integration expertise to clients in support of international government sales teams and the GX VAR.
  • Engineering-level technical support for ongoing operations of the GX VAR.
  • Specification, documentation, and implementation of hardware solutions for mobile and fixed satellite services, particularly the Inmarsat GX satellite service.
  • Development and build of customer solutions prior to handing over to operations teams for life support.
  • Specification, documentation, and implementation of hardware solutions for IP networking over satellite.
  • Senior engineering-level support and technical mentoring to international government engineers.
  • Provision of training and technical presentations.
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering degree with demonstrated ability in the satellite communications industry.
  • Australian citizenship and capability of achieving a Defence clearance.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing solutions in a pre-sales environment (bids/RFT's/RFQ's).
