Be a part of an exceptional team that prioritizes patient care and transportation services. As a Casual Patient Transport Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of patients with various medical conditions.
About the RoleThis position involves performing patient assessments and interventions on-road, providing high-quality patient care and treatment during transport, developing positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders, and working collaboratively with other team members.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road
- Provide high quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
- Perform independently and problem solve within established policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with other team members
- A minimum qualification of Cert III in Non-Emergency Patient care, Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent is required. Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) students may apply on completion of second year subject units.
- Availability to work 10 and 12-hour shifts across 7 days is necessary
- Ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions is essential
- Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to providing excellent service are expected qualities for this role
- Experience working in the NEPT sector in an equal role is desirable but not essential
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Full Drivers Licence, State driver history report, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia is mandatory
