Role Overview

The Optical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting customers with their optical needs, delivering exceptional service and contributing to the success of our retail environment.

This position involves working closely with colleagues to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for providing expert advice on glasses, contact lenses, and other optical products, as well as maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate glasses, contact lenses, and other optical products.
  • Provide top-notch customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Support the sales team in achieving sales goals and improving customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Maintain a spotless and organized store environment that adheres to health and safety standards.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, and accessories.
Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing capacity is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash transactions.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Note: The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in optics and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
