Role Overview

This full-time permanent position commences in Term 1, 2025, and is located in the Townsville area. As a secondary Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and contributing to the school's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics to students in Years 7-12, developing engaging lesson plans and assessing student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum programs, ensuring academic excellence and student success
  • Provide guidance and support to students, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic achievement
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices in Mathematics education

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor of Education or similar) and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
  • Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching Mathematics, with a strong focus on pedagogy and student outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Motivation and passion for working with young people, promoting their academic growth and well-being
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Working Rights for Australia (or eligible to gain)
