Hotel Finance Leader Job Overview

This role is a high-impact leadership position in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will possess technical and strategic skills to apply in a hotel-focused investment environment.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Capture corporate reporting, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting data.
  • Manage taxation compliance and planning, working with advisors to optimize tax outcomes and align financial strategies.
  • Oversee treasury, risk management, budgeting, and ensure robust financial controls are in place.
  • Partner with asset managers to review performance, cash flows, and balance sheets for property assets, and support acquisitions/disposals through due diligence and financial modelling.
  • Develop detailed financial models to support development proposals, feasibility analyses, and valuations, providing actionable insights.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team to enhance capabilities and drive success.

Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrate experience in property investments, specifically hotel investments and developments.
  • Showcase big 4 foundations, ideally started in a big 4 environment before progressing into group reporting within a commercial environment (ideally with a property asset manager, hotel developer or group function of a hotel operator).
  • Possess executive presence, strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to command respect and influence senior leadership.
  • Display commercial acumen, a strategic mindset to navigate complex financial landscapes and influence business decisions.
  • Exhibit resilience & adaptability, ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Utilize relationship-driven approach, the ability to build, maintain, and leverage professional relationships.
  • Possess professional qualifications, CA/CPA qualification and a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or tax.
