Rendering Expert

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled rendering professional with expertise in solid plastering.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in achieving high-quality finishes and surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply render layers to ensure consistent thickness and uniform finish.
  • Develop decorative textures in finishing coats, including sponging, stippling, and trowelled effects.
  • Repair damaged plasterwork and restore weathered or cracked external walls.
  • Straighten and plumb wall and surface corners to precise specifications.
  • Cut and fit mesh or laths to strengthen render when required.
  • Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures on-site.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • AQF Certificate III in Solid Plastering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least two years of on-the-job training or three years of relevant experience may substitute formal qualification.
  • ANZSCO Skill Level 3.
  • Proven experience as a renderer or solid plasterer, ideally with external façade work.
  • Strong hand skills and attention to detail in surface preparation and finish.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic plans and instructions.
  • Familiarity with both traditional and acrylic render systems.
  • Understanding of safety requirements and site protocols.
  • Capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
