Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Warrigal.

About the Role:

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care services to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

Our Homes:

Our two homes in the Southern Highlands offer a peaceful and scenic environment, with pet-friendly facilities and flexible outdoor settings for gatherings.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily living assistance, including showering, personal hygiene, meal times, and mobility support
  • Engage with residents, their families, and your team, contributing to our high-quality care services and building positive relationships
  • In consultation with Team Leaders or the Registered Nurse in charge, provide care in accordance with individualised Care Plans
  • Active involvement in community-based recreational and social activities
  • Ensure resident happiness by supporting their emotional wellbeing
  • Join in cultural celebration days

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care (or similar)
  • Empathy and commitment to the care of older people
  • Availability to work night shifts
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation affecting aged care services
