Carpentry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Tricastle Construction PTY LTD. As a full-time Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing general Carpentry duties on our building projects throughout Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build moulds to retain wet concrete in the construction of foundations and other concrete structures.
• Strip and clean timber formwork structures.
• Build new forms on top of previously poured concrete for high-rise structures.
• Assemble manufactured forms, made from steel, wood, or heavy plastic.
• Study drawings and specifications to determine materials required.
• Work harmoniously with teammates and purchase ordering officers to order materials.
• Prepare layouts for clients to approve prior to commencing work.
• Select the correct materials and sizes according to building project drawings.
• Measure, cut, or shape materials as required.
• Help erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes.
• Construct and install frames and floorboards structures.
• Perform repair work when required.
• Perform quality insurance checks to verify trueness of wood frames and floor structures.
• Train apprentices when required.

Requirements:

• At least a relevant Certificate III or IV qualification.
• Two years of full-time post-qualification experience in the relevant position.
• OR at least 3 years of experience as a Carpenter.

Benefits:

• Salary: $70 - $80k per annum plus superannuation.
• Full-time position.
