Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. They monitor and maintain the accounts payable inbox, addressing queries and invoices promptly.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process all accounts payable transactions in accordance with established timelines and legislative requirements.
  • Review and validate incoming documents through internal systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and execute payments (EFT, BPAY) in line with schedules and policies.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting requirements.
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvement of AP processes and controls.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Excellent communication skills and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with finance systems.
