Senior Risk Management Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in risk management and audit leadership to drive business transformation initiatives. As a key member of our Internal Audit Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that critical processes and related initiatives adhere to NSW Government requirements, icare policies, and relevant industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality audits within set timeframes.
  • Provide independent advice on key digital and business transformation projects, leveraging your knowledge of risk and control frameworks.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to achieve effective outcomes, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Mentor and coach a team of audit professionals, promoting professional excellence and growth.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree qualifications, such as a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Membership in professional organizations, such as Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) or Australian Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).
  • At least 8 years' experience in IT auditing and business/systems transformation, with a strong understanding of IT audit, business, and systems transformation practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
