This role involves maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will record and categorise financial transactions in accounting software (Xero and MYOB), ensuring all financial data is correctly allocated to appropriate accounts.

The successful candidate will maintain general ledgers and subsidiary accounts, perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts, and process supplier invoices, match purchase orders, and ensure timely payments.

You will also monitor outstanding accounts payable and coordinate with clients regarding due payments, issue client invoices, follow up on overdue accounts, and manage debtor reports. Additionally, you will process payroll for clients, including calculating wages, leave entitlements, and deductions, and ensure compliance with PAYG withholding, superannuation, and other statutory payroll obligations.

To be successful in this role, you will have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field, minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, and strong understanding of GST, BAS, PAYG, and payroll processing. You will also have the ability to interpret different modern awards and employment agreements to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with Fair Work regulations.
