About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Demand Officer - Bill of Materials to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our Maritime Australia business, you will be responsible for maintaining Bill of Materials (BoM) and Bill of Quantity (BoQ) databases, ensuring the quality of data, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve material issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain BoM and BoQ databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date material demand information.
  • Act as the point of contact for Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) based material demand queries from Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Production Planning stakeholders.
  • Produce material-related reports from various systems to support decision-making and material planning.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity in BoM and BoQ databases, effectively managing and manipulating data to support material demand planning.
  • Liaise with engineering stakeholders to record and understand material requirements, ensuring accurate and timely material demand information.
  • Ensure Advance Bill of Materials are created and material demand is in place for all required materials in line with ship builds.
  • Liaise closely with program domain specialists to resolve and mitigate material issues, ensuring the successful delivery of the Hunter Class Frigate Program.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in material demand systems, Enterprise Resource Management (ERM), and Enterprise Product Data Management (PDM) systems. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
