Advanced Signalling Specialist

The Opportunity:
- You will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation and delivery of advanced signalling and control systems within the rail industry.
This position is based in Brisbane and offers an opportunity to contribute to transformative rail infrastructure projects across ANZ.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Provide in-depth knowledge and consultancy on ETCS Level 1 and Level 2 systems, including their integration with existing and new signalling systems.
- Lead and support the delivery of signalling and control system projects, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets and technical requirements.
- Develop and review technical designs, specifications and requirements for signalling and control systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client expectations.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, offering guidance, resolving technical challenges and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, project managers and third-party vendors.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with signalling systems, ensuring operational safety and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to relevant safety, regulatory and technical standards, including Australian and international rail guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and consultants within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Railway Systems or a related field.
- 8 or more years demonstrated design and delivery experience for ETCS and/or CBTC rail projects.
- Proven expertise in ETCS Level 1 and Level 2 system design, implementation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Australian rail standards and practices.
- Strong understanding of signalling principles, safety systems and interoperability requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
