Forensic Science Leadership Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of a national forensic drug laboratory. They will lead a team of scientists providing high-quality forensic science services to government agencies.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Forensic Drug Program Services, driving innovation and ensuring maximum impact through strategic thinking and leadership.
  • Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with their needs and provide high-quality services and professional advice.
  • Maintain a strong reputation in the national and international forensic community through research and publication.
  • Ensure the laboratory operates as a national centre of excellence and maintains the highest quality standards.
  • Lead innovation, including programs to update critical ICT infrastructure.
  • Contribute as a senior leader to branch activities and broader programs and strategic direction.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary level qualification in Chemistry or equivalent is required.
  • To be eligible for employment, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
  • Positions require a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
