Job Summary:

Emeco Group is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Site-Based Heavy Diesel Fitter. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, including dozers, graders, trucks, and excavators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment, including dozers, graders, trucks, and excavators, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine and transmission problems.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements:

  • Australian Working Rights: Must have full working rights in Australia without the need for visa sponsorship.
  • Trade Certificate: Australian recognised qualification in Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant.
  • Mine Site Exposure: Experience with large heavy plant equipment.
  • Safety Awareness: Coal mining safety and ability to pass a Coal Board Medical.
  • Driver's Licence: Current Australian licence (mandatory).
  • Tickets: Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift (highly regarded).
  • Standard 11: Willingness to obtain if not already held.
