Job Title: Chair of Middle School FacultyAbout the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced educator to lead our Middle School faculty as Chair. As a key member of our school leadership team, you will provide curriculum and pedagogical leadership for Years 7–9 English learning area.

Your role will involve leading high-quality teaching and learning aligned with the Australian Curriculum and fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth among staff. You will work closely with other Chairs of Faculty and school leaders to contribute to the educational direction of the Middle School.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader who can embed the Active Teaching and Learning Model and Habits for Learning in practice. You will also support students to become curious, reflective, and ethical learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Leadership: Provide leadership and direction for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Years 7–9 English curriculum.
  • Teaching and Learning: Lead high-quality teaching and learning practices that meet the needs of all students.
  • Staff Development: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth among staff.
  • Student Support: Support students to become curious, reflective, and ethical learners.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Education or related field.
  • Proven experience in curriculum leadership and teaching.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
