About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior People Advisor to join our Rail Operations Business Unit in Melbourne. This fixed-term parental leave role will involve supporting the implementation and delivery of people-related matters, including capability building, talent management, staff engagement, performance management, and industrial relations.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Rail Operations leaders and employees to:

  • Provide timely and accurate HR/IR advice and guidance
  • Support the facilitation of the annual salary review process
  • Facilitate and support performance development, performance management, and disciplinary processes
  • Assist in identifying training gaps and supporting coaching/training
  • Support change initiatives and ensure alignment with the organisational vision, values, and business strategy
  • Contribute to the achievement of the people business plan

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Experience in providing HR and IR advice and support
  • Experience as a generalist HR professional in a construction or heavy industry environment
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust
  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, or equivalent experience
