About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Curriculum Mentor. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position with a view to extend and go permanent.

As a Curriculum Mentor, you will play a crucial role in inspiring, mentoring, and leading pedagogical practices across multiple centres. You will work collaboratively with centre teams to drive innovative contributions to curriculum and centre priorities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovative contributions to curriculum and centre priorities in collaboration with the Quality and Curriculum and Network teams.
  • Advocate and lead Guardian initiatives by providing in-centre support, mentoring, role-modelling, and empowering teams to enhance their pedagogical capacities.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction, tools, resources, and professional learning for centre teams, fostering autonomy and ownership.
  • Inspire, support, mentor, coach, and lead a network of Educational Leaders, promoting professional learning and retention.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on achieving agreed outcomes of our initiatives.
  • Act as a visible advocate for curriculum initiatives through respectful partnerships.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree in Early Childhood education preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or mentoring role within the Early Childhood sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple complex sites.

Required Skills:

  • Proven ability in mentoring, coaching, and role-modelling to inspire others.
  • Solid pedagogical understanding and practice.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills to engage, influence, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and develop strategies across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in A&R and planning for it.
  • Innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach to effective, practical strategies and solutions.
  • Excellent written communication skills to contribute to content, support tools, and resources.
  • Confidence, leadership skills, and the ability to advocate through internal and external forums.
