Electrical Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to oversee our core operations in Perth. The successful candidate will lead a team of supervisors and linesmen responsible for operating and maintaining the 11kV and 22kV overhead distribution network.

This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience managing a team in a leadership position, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and HV distribution networks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operations Management
    • Ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
    • Manage resources (e.g., manpower, materials, scheduling for HV network crew).
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
    • Conduct audits and inspections to verify work quality.
    • Promote a strong safety culture.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Focus on long-term goals and outcomes.
    • Align project outcomes with organizational priorities.
    • Work closely with upper management or other stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Scheduling
    • Develop and oversee project budgets and timelines.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordination and Communication
    • Coordinate with leadership, clients, or external partners & Sub-contractors.
    • Manage communication between departments or large teams.
  • Problem Solving and Crisis Management
    • Handle escalated issues and define solutions to challenges.
    • Take responsibility for decision-making during critical moments.
  • Reporting
    • Prepare reports for stakeholders or senior leadership that highlight progress, concerns, successes, or deficits.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
