Theoretical Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Theoretical Physicist to join our team as a Lecturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the field of theoretical physics, with a focus on particle and nuclear physics.

• Teaching undergraduate and graduate students in theoretical physics
• Conducting research in theoretical particle and nuclear physics, including areas such as particle physics, nuclear physics, nonperturbative QCD, particle astrophysics, and particle cosmology
• Collaborating with experimentalists and other theorists to advance our understanding of theoretical physics
• Supervising graduate students and mentoring junior researchers
• Developing and delivering high-quality research programs and projects
• Contributing to the development of the physics discipline at the University of Adelaide

• PhD in Theoretical Physics or equivalent higher degree
• Commitment to excellence in relevant areas of theoretical physics
• Demonstrated publication track record in leading academic journals
• Strong interest in and commitment to the delivery of quality undergraduate education
• Experience in and/or enthusiasm for the supervision of graduate students
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and work effectively as a member of a research team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and management skills
• Advanced analytic and computational skills
