About the Role

Boeing is seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to support the Super Hornet and Growler Program for the Royal Australian Air Force at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, associated components and associated equipment within the scope of their applicable trade, qualifications, training, competency and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) authorisation(s).

They will complete assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of AMO aircraft maintenance activities, sign-off, and Certification of those aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with the appropriate Authorised Maintenance Data (AMD).

Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
  • Sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or ability to obtain
  • DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML) or ability to obtain
  • Previous experience as a maintenance certifier / trade supervisor
  • Good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
  • Prior supervisory or leadership training
  • Working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems
