Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough oral health assessments and diagnose dental conditions to ensure accurate patient care.
- Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health.
- Provide preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and fissure sealants to promote healthy teeth and gums.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care to empower them to take control of their oral health.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Take and interpret dental radiographs to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Administer local anesthesia and perform minor restorative procedures to ensure patient comfort and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care and achieve the best possible results for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote oral health awareness and education.
- Bachelor's degree in Oral Health Therapy or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and licensure with the AHPRA.
- Proven experience as an Oral Health Therapist or similar role.
