Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Department Leader to join our team at our new Lightsview Store. As a Meat Department Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the meat department, generating orders, completing stock takes, and ensuring that the department is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the meat department, including generating orders and completing stock takes.
  • Ensure that the department is running efficiently and effectively, and that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of meat department staff.
  • Monitor and control costs, and ensure that the department is operating within budget.
  • Ensure that all health and safety standards are met, and that the department is a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a meat department leadership role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fresh food retail, including ordering and stock control.
  • Ability to generate orders and complete stock takes accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service, and to ensuring that the department is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
