Community Engagement Specialist

We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to partner with our team in newly developed communities, supporting the creation of vibrant and liveable spaces.

This role is highly focused on establishing strong relationships and actively engaging in networking and advocacy. The successful candidate will capitalise on existing community assets to promote initiatives that encourage connection, a sense of belonging, and community empowerment.

About the Role
  • Work collaboratively with a team in newly developed communities to identify needs and implement programs.
    • Lead projects and social support groups, fostering a sense of community and social cohesion.
      • Collaborate with local organisations to create sustainable solutions, promoting positive outcomes for clients and their families.
        • Oversee volunteer recruitment, coordination and support for key programs, enhancing the overall community experience.
What You'll Bring
  • A proven track record in community development, demonstrating a deep understanding of the concept and its practical application.
    • Holds a Diploma of Community Services / Community Development or equivalent relevant experience, showcasing expertise in supporting communities and facilitating group activities.
      • Thrives in a collaborative, fun, people-centred environment, embodying a customer-centric approach.
        • Possesses excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative mindset.
          • Brings enthusiasm and passion to every challenge, shares our commitment to social justice, inclusiveness and equality.

You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of clients in newly developed communities.
