Position Overview: Registered Nurse in Aged Care
As a Registered Nurse in our Aged Care facility, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, evidence-based healthcare tailored to the individual needs of our residents. Your primary goal will be to empower residents to maintain their independence and enjoy fulfilling lives. You will also serve as a mentor and support for your colleagues, fostering a collaborative and compassionate environment.
Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, you will engage in various projects and responsibilities, collaborating closely with the Clinical Manager, Nurse Supervisor, Consultant, and other team members. If you are dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others, we invite you to consider this opportunity to provide exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical guidance and support to the Residential Aged Care Team as needed.
- Utilize resources and equipment efficiently and responsibly.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to meet the care needs of residents.
- Ensure outstanding service to residents, prioritizing their satisfaction.
- Maintain effective professional relationships with other service providers and healthcare professionals.
- Comply with the Aged Care Code of Conduct and the Charter of Care Recipients' Rights and Responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- At least 12 months of experience post-registration.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective time and task management skills.
