Global Financial Crimes Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee our Global Financial Crimes Program in the Asia Pacific Region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing this program, establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring timely mitigation of compliance risks.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who excels in risk management, communication, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Drive consistent execution of the financial crimes program in the region.
- Perform gap analysis of standards against new or revised laws and regulations.
- Review Front-Line Unit escalations on financial crimes inquiries, risks, and concerns.
- Develop meaningful management of information, including review and production of Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators.
- Contributes to risk coverage plans, executes independent risk monitoring, testing, and risk assessments.
- Assists in the identification, aggregation, reporting, and escalation of issues related to financial crimes.
Requirements:
- At least 12 years' experience in a similar or related role in a financial institution or legal firm.
- Anti-money laundering/financial crimes experience in a financial institution or government position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid influencing capability.
- Ability to self-identify priorities, deliver to deadline, and handle challenging demands and partners.
- Sound risk management skills and ability to apply discernment, take decisions when required, and raise when necessary.
