Currently, they are seeking a highly skilled SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER to oversee a significant civil project in Perth, located north of the river for an extended duration.

Role Overview

As a SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER in Perth, your primary responsibility will be to manage the enhancement of pavements and ground lighting for a major airfield. The project scope encompasses asphalt and concrete surfacing tasks along with the installation of new communication utilities. You will be part of a highly proficient project management team, supporting the Project Manager by coordinating with client representatives, overseeing subcontractors, planning and scheduling works, managing costs, forecasting, and reporting on progress. Additionally, you will ensure quality assurance and quality control while mentoring junior engineers. This position is ideal for a capable SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER with a minimum of 6 years of post-graduate experience, particularly in asphalt surfacing projects, who is looking for a role in Perth. Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • 6+ years of civil construction experience as a Project Engineer or SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER for civil contractors in Australia or New Zealand
  • Prior experience as a Project Engineer or SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER on road, airport, or airfield runway surfacing projects, including asphalt or concrete surfacing.
  • Experience with the Australian Department of Defence or Aeronautical Ground Lighting is highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of Civilpro quality management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • Availability within a 4-week notice period
  • Ability to provide 2 favorable references from the last 5 years
  • Capability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
  • Current C Class Driver's License
