Senior Climate Risk Assurance Manager

Overview:

This role is responsible for leading and executing climate risk assurance reviews, ensuring the timely delivery of audit engagements within budget and quality standards. The Senior Climate Risk Assurance Manager will align audit activities with internal and external climate risk developments, including emerging regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute climate risk assurance reviews, assessing systems, data integrity, scenario analysis, and financed emissions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audit engagements within budget and quality standards.
  • Align audit activities with internal and external climate risk developments, including emerging regulations.
  • Contribute to the annual internal audit plan and resource allocation based on business risk profiles.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, and Finance functions.
  • Drive understanding of climate-related risks across IA and the wider business.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in risk management frameworks, operational risk, compliance, and delivery risk.
  • Proven track record leading complex audits or risk projects, preferably in technology or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of climate risk, regulatory obligations, and banking/finance industry practices.
  • Expertise in risk and control analysis across complex business processes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills, including experience engaging senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and drive innovative assurance practices.

What You'll Need To Succeed:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications in risk management, auditing, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
