This role is ideal for a legal professional seeking to expand their expertise in employment law and litigation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, manage complex cases, and contribute to the growth of the practice area.
- Liaise with clients to understand case issues
- Manage expectations independently; seeking guidance where appropriate
- Conduct and manage new client matters including providing legal advice and representation
- Maintain regular and open communication with clients
The ideal candidate will possess excellent drafting skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of employment law. They will also be proactive, motivated, and able to exercise empathy and compassion when working with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with other senior lawyers, counsel, and external experts as required to clarify and resolve complex legal issues
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior lawyers and legal support staff when required
- Produce quality letters to opponents regarding foreshadowed disputes, in a timely manner
- Conduct file reviews to identify any key issues
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in employment law, working closely with experienced professionals and contributing to the growth of the practice area.
Requirements
- At least 1 year experience;
- Have attention to detail and be comfortable with working directly with clients
- Time management skills - enjoy the responsibility over your work and time;
- Be proactive and motivated.
